Overview
Per the box...
- The FCC ID of the card is KA2APC260PO (it's pictured on the card itself and it's also stated by the UPC).
- "8EAISA01..C1-0" and "REV-C1" is silkscreened on the pictured card.
- This text is similar to the board P/N format used by Alpha Networks (the company spun off from D-Link's former manufacturing division). This, combined with the fact that it is using a D-Link FCC ID, suggests it was indeed manufactured by D-Link (internal model EAISA-01 ??).
- A MAC label with a 00:04:05 OUI is affixed to the pictured card.
- The MAC label is stuck on top of the (single-chip) Ethernet controller. The box does, however, note that the card is NE2000 compatible.
Per an actual production model...
- The FCC ID of the card / the one on the card is KA2APC260PO.
- "8EAISA01.0D2" and "REV-D2" is silkscreened on the card.
- "P/N", "181025183760", "9841M", and "BH6086.1" is the text on the Ethernet controller
- A sticker reading "LINKSYS Ether16 LAN Card" is affixed to the top left of the board.
- The serial number of the card is EGZ8B12428.
- The unit's MAC address is, per its label (again, affixed to the Ethernet controller), 00:40:05:6E:AD:FF.
- "MADE IN TAIWAN" is etched into the bottom layer of the card.
The copyright year on the box is 1997.
