EN202 (MAC/BB)
  • The EN202 is a highly integrated, triple-mode wireless LAN medium access control (MAC) and baseband (BB) chip,
compatible with 802.11a/b/g wireless standards.
  • Envara's EN202 chip is incorporated into its WiND502 and WiND512 wireless LAN chipset solutions, enabling
a clear migration path for applications using 802.11g technology to advanced 802.11a/g based solutions.
  • The EN202 contains two modems. An orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modem is compatible
with the 802.11a and 802.11g and supports multiple data rates of up to 54 Mbps.
  • A direct sequence spread spectrum/ complementary code-keying (DSSS/CCK) modem supports the 802.11b
standard and supports multiple data rates of up to 11 Mbps.
  • The inherent flexibility of the chip supports many advanced MAC features such as improved security,
low power consumption, system stability and multimedia support.

  • The EN303 is a monolithic SiGe half-duplex RF multi-band transceiver designed to operate in either the 5GHz unlicensed
frequency band (including all channels starting from 4.9GHz up to 5.9GHz) or in the 2.4GHz unlicensed frequency band.
  • As an integral part of Envara's WiND502 triple-mode chipset, EN303 enables a very low-cost implementation of wireless
LAN (WLAN) equipment such as network interface cards and access points.
