Overview
"XDX-RN502J V2.0" and "1022" is silkscreened on the board.
The manufacturer of this device is almost certainly Shenzhen Century Xinyang Technology Co., Ltd.
- They probably sold this under various brands, perhaps including widemac, Skylink, Tianhao, and Blueway. widemac is the primary brand used by this company, the brand primarily used on their web site, and is synonymous with this manufacturer.
As this board is used by numerous sub-models from this company, this is kind of a catch-all entry for them.
Rebrands and similar products
- The Bococom TH-R300W board shares the same board text.
- This device shares the same board ID as the DealExtreme 92141.
- The text on the board ("XDX-RN502J") is similar to text on the Winstars WS-WR511N1, which is almost certainly another widemac product.
- For widemac products, the SL / WD R7201, R7202, and R7203 likely share similar boards.
- The OpenWrt wiki entry notes the R7205 as using this board (Aceex 22NRY, CD-R King 3G-52).
- The Resau Libre wiki notes the R7205 as using a board silkscreened with "XDX-RN502J".

Flashing
NOTE: During configuration or flashing a device, the only things that should be hooked to the device is the computer and power. |
Flashing OpenWrt
This device is NOT RECOMMENDED for future use with OpenWrt due to low flash/ram. DO NOT BUY DEVICES WITH 4MB FLASH / 32MB RAM if you intend to flash an up-to-date and secure OpenWrt version onto it! See 4/32 warning for details. |
This device does not have sufficient resources (flash and/or RAM) to provide secure and reliable operation. This means that even setting a password or changing simple network settings might not be possible any more, rendering the device effectively useless. See OpenWrt on 4/32 devices what you can do now. |
OpenWrt support for this device has ended in 2022. 19.07.10 was the last official build for 4/32 devices. |
