Overview
The device runs OpenWrt on the stock firmware.
The power supply voltage range is 12VDC to 24VDC.
"081R-MPB880AN00 R06" is printed on a sticker attached to the bottom of the unit.
- This would seem to indicate the device was manufactured by U-MEDIA.
- "Designed in U.S.A." is silkscreened on the top of the board.
Note: The PCI controller on 7161 cannot handle I/O resources.
- This isn't a problem for Atheros based Wi-Fi cards, but it is generally a problem for others..

Flashing OpenWrt
This device is NOT RECOMMENDED for future use with OpenWrt due to low flash/ram.
DO NOT BUY DEVICES WITH 8MB FLASH / 64MB RAM if you intend to flash an up-to-date and secure OpenWrt version onto it! See 8/64 warning for details. This device does not have sufficient resources (flash and/or RAM) to provide secure and reliable operation. This means that you will not be able to install many packages, and that you might experience crashes due to OOM situations more or less often. See OpenWrt on 8/64 devices what you can do now. |
