Overview

"WL AP 2554 RA1" and "HW Rev A3" is silkscreened on the board in the FCC photos.
"WL AP 2554 RA1-B10" and "Rev V1.0" is silkscreened on (at least one) production model board.

Firmware notes

  • The firmware is compressed with arj
  • OS: ThreadX JADE/Green Hills Version G4.0.4.0
  • ar531x, 3.0.1.12, 18:00, 08 Dec, 2004, Build 1048 (dgl3420_firmware_100.bin)

Probable used PSU(s)

The power supply which seems to be bundled with US sold units looks to be a JENTEC JTA0302A. The connector is smaller than usual..

JENTEC JTA0302A (more)
Input: 100-120 VAC ~ 50-60 Hz, 0.5 A
 Input connector: NEMA 1-15P
Style: small, straight
Output: 5 VDC, 2 A
 Output connector: barrel (center +)
 OD: ??  ID: ??  LEN: ??

JTAG-Serial Info

Serial

Serial Pinouts

It's on the back of the unit, presumably.

Tx seems to be the large used pad next to the two large grounded pads - both of which are somewhat below the power connector. The output doesn't appear to be particularly useful.. a trait which may be shared with other Global Sun AR231x + ThreadX devices..
