Overview

Emtec's drivers note the chip used as RTL8709.

This would seem to be another name for RTL8192U (RTL81xxSU is aka RTL8712) -
the USB ID is noted in the Linux driver for r8192u_usb which handles those devices.
It is presumed to be using RTL8192U + RTL8256...

Based on the dongle's appearance, Edimax is the presumed manufacturer.
