Overview

This is the original DSS-8+ revision. It has a nice brown-ish metal case (.. though it seems some later revisions of the DSS-8+ also use the same case).

It has 8 Switch ports and one uplink port.

"DSS-8" and "REV-B1" is silkscreened on the top of one particular unit's board.

"8DSS8....1B1", "MADE IN TAIWAN", and a date code of 9929 is etched onto the bottom.
The fan used on this unit is a SUNON KD0502PFB3-8.

The main Switch IC is covered by a large heatsink.
